Refund Policy

01 Merchant of Record

All payments for ClearAd subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), acting as our authorised Merchant of Record and reseller. When you purchase a ClearAd subscription, you are purchasing from Paddle. Paddle's Refund Policy and Buyer Terms therefore apply to all transactions alongside this policy.

To request a refund directly through Paddle, visit paddle.net or use the Manage subscription link in your purchase confirmation email.

02 14-Day Statutory Withdrawal Right (UK)

Under UK consumer protection law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013) and Paddle's policy, UK consumers have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from digital service contracts:

  • Monthly plans – 14 calendar days from the date of first payment.
  • Annual plans – 14 calendar days from the date of first payment, and a fresh 14-day withdrawal window on each annual auto-renewal.
  • Free trial to paid conversion – a new 14-day withdrawal period starts the day the free trial ends and the first paid charge is made.

To exercise this right, submit a request within 14 days via paddle.net or email support@clearad.ai. Upon approval, access to the Service will cease and a full refund will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days.

03 Our Voluntary 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on the first payment of any paid plan. No reason required. Conditions:

  • Request must be received within 30 calendar days of your first payment for that plan.
  • Applies once per customer account.
  • Does not apply to renewal payments (see statutory rights above for annual renewals).
  • Refund will be processed by Paddle to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval.

04 Subsequent Renewal Payments

After the initial 14-day statutory withdrawal period and 30-day money-back window, renewal payments (monthly or annual) are generally non-refundable, except where:

  • You exercise the UK statutory 14-day withdrawal right on an annual renewal (see section 02).
  • There is a material technical defect preventing you from accessing the Service (see section 05).
  • Required by applicable UK consumer protection law.

Cancelling your subscription stops future renewals but does not generate a refund for the current billing period.

05 Refunds for Technical Defects

If you experience a persistent technical issue or material defect that prevents you from using the Service as described:

  1. Contact us first at support@clearad.ai with details of the issue.
  2. If we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe, contact Paddle's support team at paddle.net.
  3. Where evidence of a material defect is confirmed, Paddle will issue a refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.

06 How to Cancel Your Subscription

You may cancel at any time via your account dashboard → Subscription, or through the Manage subscription link in any Paddle receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; your plan remains active until then and then reverts to the Free tier. No partial-period refunds are issued on cancellation unless required by law.

07 How to Request a Refund

Option A — Via Paddle (fastest)

Visit paddle.net → select "Request refund" → provide your order details.

Option B — Via ClearAd support

Email support@clearad.ai with: your registered email, order/transaction ID (from your Paddle receipt), and the reason for your request. We will coordinate with Paddle on your behalf.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–14 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

08 Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We encourage you to contact us or Paddle before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Initiating a chargeback may result in temporary suspension of your account while the dispute is reviewed. This does not affect your lawful right to dispute a charge.

09 Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any rights you have as a UK consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or any other applicable UK consumer protection legislation. Where any term of this policy conflicts with those rights, your statutory rights prevail.
